1. Using FileMutate

The core tools are free to use and don't require an account. We may offer optional accounts or paid tiers for higher usage limits in the future. Nothing you currently rely on for free will move behind a paywall without notice.

2. Your files stay yours

We don't claim any ownership over files you upload or the results we return to you. You're responsible for having the right to upload and process any file you submit.

• We process your file only to perform the action you requested.
• We don't inspect, index, or repurpose file contents.
• Uploaded and processed files are deleted automatically within 1 hour. See our Privacy Policy for detail.

3. Acceptable use

Don't use FileMutate to process content you don't have the legal right to handle, or to attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or overload the service. Specifically, please don't:

• Upload files containing illegal content, malware, or content that infringes someone else's rights.
• Automate bulk requests in a way designed to circumvent rate limits.
• Attempt to access another user's files or account data.

4. Availability & limits

We aim for high uptime but don't guarantee the service will always be available or error-free. Free-tier tools may carry file size or daily usage limits, shown on the tool page before you upload.

5. Limitation of liability

FileMutate is provided "as is." We're not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the service, including loss resulting from a file being unavailable after the automatic deletion window. Keep a copy of anything important before you upload it.

6. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product changes. Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date above.
